• List really weird and interesting reasons for not going to school, e.g. three metres of snow fell on your suburb
• Act out some of these as telephone conversations. Try to be really convincing
• Paint/draw this song in comic book style. Rule up boxes for pictures and have speech bubbles
• Have children list jobs they think the headmaster or principal does. then invite the headmaster or principal into your room to talk about the jobs he/she actually does
• You are a Principal. Write your diary for a week
• Research the history of Education
• Look at Education in other times e.g. Ancient Greece
